I was a bit confused by the cloth, probably because it's so close to her skin color--I thought that her fingers were stretching out or something when I first looked at it.
Looks very smexy, yes? She has kind of a pudge or something, it looks like, which I don't mind. It makes her anatomy look realistic.
Nice hair, too. I really like the way you make it look like it ripples or waves or whatever, like it does here.
Now that I've got access to a scanner, we ought to do an art trade sometime. Or something.
Now this brings back memories! I remember the Maxx when it would come on MTV at night. Julie was a very cool character too. I think you've gotten her overall image down perfect. All the anatomy is just right, and her expression is just so... Julie! ^^ Great work!
gah, i need to buy volume 6 of this wonderful, wonderful series and then fan art the hell oyut of it. damn you, lack of free time!
you really bring your own tro a charater that's presented in a highly styilzed fashion, though i'd be supprized if you of all people chose to emulate the origional artist's style in a peice of fan-art. as someone above mentioned, the fact tat you haven't pulled any punches in reguards to her weight dose alot to make this image seem truer to life interms of anatomy (i think the slenderness of the neck assentuates this all the more). ah, the world of comics needs more charaters who arn't size zero and look asthough they have never even heard of a calorie.
the pose is pretty awsom since your eyes really travle all the way around the image thanks to the inclusion of that lenghty waist tie (i am so making up names for articals of clothing here) while there's a great balace of curves and angles making up the outline.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
